Hope for real reform?

There is finally real potential for health care reform. With the election of Barack Obama and now his appointment of former Senator Tom Daschle to head Health and Human Services and the announcement of Hilda Solis to head the Labor Dept, real reform may be on the way.

My friend, Liane Ferrari, died on July 5, 2006. She was a vibrant, super-health-conscious 63-year old woman who traveled extensively. She taught school in Oakland for 16 years. In 1997 she came to work at my office.
